The project and its methods

About Clock Garden

Clock Garden is an independent web project with a device clock, world clock and ticket website time tool that need no account. Living Clock adds scenery that changes with the time of day.

How time is calculated

Current time follows your device clock without synchronizing to a time server. World Clock displays that same instant across city time zones and saves favorites in this browser. The number of digits on screen is not a guarantee of measurement accuracy.

World Clock uses the browser’s Intl implementation and time-zone data. Daylight-saving changes can make a future event’s offset different from the current one. Cached pages may work offline, but every page and image is not guaranteed to be available.

The separate ticket time tool estimates time from a ticket website’s HTTP Date response header. Whole-second resolution and network delays limit the estimate, and it is not guaranteed to match the internal sale-opening clock. This feature requires a network connection.

Where the artwork comes from

Lantern Isle, Aquarium, and Chrono Garden are drawn in code. Moonlit Conservatory uses models and day/night renders made in Blender. Rainlight was created with an image-generation tool; Quiet Study was edited from a supplied reference with an image tool, then combined with live clock elements.

How we maintain the guides

Guides describe the tools as implemented, provide examples to try, and link to browser documentation where relevant. Substantial revisions receive an updated date. We do not claim medical benefits or unmeasured performance results. AI tools assist with code, writing, and image production.
